Alba Party: Dualling A96 a strategic economic priority for Scotland
Commenting in response to the publication of Transport Scotland’s dualling the A96 between Inverness and Aberdeen review, Acting Alba Party leader Kenny MacAskill said:
“The A96 between Aberdeen and Inverness connects ports and industrial bases that are crucial to the green industrialisation of all of Scotland. There cannot be a just transition without the level of investment in the country’s infrastructure that the Scottish Government embarked upon under Alex Salmond’s Government. This is also an alarm bell in regards to other projects such as the A9. The dualling of the A96 would be vastly better for our environment and it must be viewed as a strategic economic priority. The only people happy with this review are the Scottish Green Party, the Scottish Government should swiftly bin the report.”
