Armed Forces Day

Former Scottish First Minister and ALBA leader Alex Salmond said:

“Armed Forces Day was inaugurated while I was in office and I am proud to back it as a demonstration of why we should support ex-service personnel 365 days of year through the military covenant not just pay our respects on Remembrance Sunday.

“Politicians should always reflect that without our forces we would not have the freedom to even contest elections and show gratitude for their efforts over the generations”
