Campbell Gunn is confirmed as the speaker. He’s still SNP but happy to come & talk to us. LACU members welcome from 7, LACU members & friends from 8pm.

Campbell Gunn has been a Scottish journalist since the 1960s, covering wars in Bosnia and Kosovo as well as Scottish politics. He later became a special advisor to both Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon, and was involved in Salmond’s judicial review. Still with the SNP, he most recently helped Kate Forbes with her leadership campaign. In addition to all that, he’s a renowned folk musician who once played with Runrig.

He will have huge insight into Scottish politics, where we are now and where the independence movement is going. While he might not be able or willing to answer all the questions Glasgow Alba members might chuck his way, hopefully he’ll find diplomatic responses to at least some of them!
