National Assembly on a Population Strategy for an Independent Scotland
About the event
Conference resolved to hold a National Assembly as soon as practical to set up a Working Group to develop a Population Strategy reflecting Scotland’s values of compassion, sustainability, and independence, safeguarding both our people and our national future.
We call on Members, particularly those with expertise, particular insights and with interest and passion in this critical area to get involved as we discuss, debate and form policy proposals. The objective of this National Assembly is to kick things off, to define and form Working Group(s), to set the scope, objectives, ways of working and timelines for these Working Group(s) and next steps.
Let’s show Scotland we are ready to lead. Not just by reacting to the future – by shaping it. Let’s build a Scotland that doesn’t just grow in size, but grows in strength, stability and solidarity.
