Jackdaw & Rosebank ruling a "great worry" for oil and gas sector

Reacting to the news that consent for the Jackdaw & Rosebank oilfields has been quashed in the Court of Session, Acting ALBA Party leader, Kenny MacAskill has said:
“This will worry a great number of people in the oil and gas industry across not just the North East but the whole of Scotland.
“It is environmental and economic madness to rely on oil imports from overseas yet that appears to have been the position of the Labour Government up until now.
“There can be no ‘just transition’ that leaves workers in the lurch and risks yet another brain drain as these highly skilled workers will seek to move elsewhere.
“The ball is now in the Labour Government's court. Tens of thousands of Scots are waiting to see their next move and whether or not they inflict yet more pain on the industry.”
