Salmond Salutes Team Europe

Former First Minister, Alex Salmond, has paid tribute to Team Europe’s victory in the Ryder Cup. He said

“What great crowds in Rome saluting Luke Donald and his team, and all of Scotland should be proud of Robert MacIntyre’s unbeaten performance as part of the European side.

Scottish golf is looking up with many outstanding Scots men and women making their way through the amateur and professional ranks. The celebrations in Rome remind us of the great scenes in Gleneagles of 2014 and we should always remember it was the public investment in young golfers as part of the Ryder Cup process which has helped Scotland, the home of golf, regain its position among the great golfing nations.”
