The Only Way to Stop Farage's Bandwagon in it's Tracks is with Independence

Reacting to the result of the Hamilton By Election Alba Party Leader Kenny MacAskill said:

“The failure of the SNP to hold this seat despite the unpopularity of the Labour Government at Westminster is a wake up call which they must heed.

“The SNP’s record in government as well as the failure to promote the urgency of Independence or even mention it in their election leaflets are the reasons why so many SNP voters chose to stay at home.

“The narrowness of the Labour victory shows that Alba were right to stand aside. The Greens standing in this By Election has handed the seat to Labour as their vote was more than the Labour majority. Many Independence supporters will now be questioning the Greens credentials on Independence.

“The task now is for the pro independence parties to unite in fighting next year’s election as Scotland’s Independence Election - with a clear message that a majority of votes cast for pro Independence parties on the list will be a mandate for Independence.

“You have to give people something to vote for. Offering hope and real change with Independence is the only way to stop Farage’s bandwagon in its tracks.”
