SUPER SEVEN: Poll Predicts ALBA Breakthrough in 2026

The ALBA Party are projected to win seven seats at the Scottish Parliament election next year.
A poll conducted by FindOutNow and commissioned by the National put the pro-Independence party on 7% of the Regional List. Polling guru Sir John Curtice projects that this would translate to seven ALBA MSPs at the next Scottish Parliament election.
This is one of a series of polls in recent months which shows that the ALBA Party will make a historic breakthrough next year, however it is the first since Kenny MacAskill won the leadership election last month.
Commenting on the poll, ALBA Party Leader Kenny MacAskill said:
"We welcome this poll. It confirms what the Alba Party and Independence movement are picking up on the ground.
“The support for our Party and a push for independence is there. We’ll be looking to work with others across the movement to deliver that.
“The UK Government's actions in saving Scunthorpe but sacrificing Grangemouth show that only independence allows us to revitalise our economy and protect our society.
“That’s why we believe the next election must be a plebiscite election - a clear and direct vote on Scotland’s right to choose its own future."
