ALBA MP repeats call for YES unity on Bannockburn field

ALBA Parliamentary leader, Neale Hanvey, has called for the Yes movement to rally behind the proposal for a single pro-independence candidate in each seat at the Westminster elections next year.

Speaking at the All Under One Banner (AUOB) rally at Bannockburn he said:

"If these are fought on the normal party political basis it will be a gift from the SNP to the unionist Labour Party. If we fight them as a national movement then it is Scotland who can emerge as the big winner on election night.

To galvanise the 50 per cent YES vote we need to offer the ballot box opportunity to vote for independence and we need to demonstrate that we can bury party differences to fight as Scotland United for Independence."
